Nostru Frappato Terre Siciliane

A beautifully expressive Sicilian Frappato, crafted from estate-grown clone selections that highlight the grape’s unique personality. Traditionally used as a blending partner to Nero d’Avola, Frappato is increasingly celebrated on its own—and here it shines with purity and charm.

Hand-harvested at the end of September and carefully transported in small crates, the grapes undergo a gentle cold maceration to enhance color and ароматics before a controlled fermentation in stainless steel. The wine is then aged on fine lees for several months, preserving freshness while adding subtle texture.

In the glass, it shows a luminous cherry-red hue, bursting with lively aromas of wild red berries. The palate is silky and smooth, with vibrant, fresh fruit balanced by elegance and a remarkably long, graceful finish. Light yet characterful, it captures the joyful, easygoing spirit of Sicily.

Part of the “Nostru” range—meaning “ours”—this wine expresses indigenous varieties through a distinctly local lens. Even the playful octopus on the label nods to Sicilian coastal culture.

Food pairing: Serve slightly chilled alongside tuna, salmon, or seafood dressed with olive oil and lemon—just as they do in Sicily.

Grape trivia: Frappato is prized for its naturally low tannins and bright aromatics, making it one of the few red wines that can comfortably be enjoyed with fish.

葡萄は自分達の畑から採取した独自のフラッパートのクローンです。収穫は9月末に畑で注意深く選別しながら手摘みで行います。葡萄が潰れないよう15kgのケースに入れてセラーに運びます。発酵前に6～8度でコールド　マセレーションを行います。柔らかく除梗、破砕した後、18～22度に温度管理したステンレスタンクで10～12日間発酵を行います。自然にマロラクティック発酵が行われた後、綺麗な澱と共に4～6ヶ月ステンレスタンクで熟成させてからボトリングします。自家畑の葡萄から採取したクローンを使用したこのワインは独自の個性を持っています。輝きのある明るいチェリーレッド、野生のベリーを思わせるフレッシュで生き生きとしたアロマがあります。口当たりは非常にバランスが良く、シルキーでスムーズな果実味があり新鮮、驚くほど長い余韻があります。
